Empowering Nurture Assistants: A Successful Training Workshop in Collaboration with Wokingham Borough Council
Project Soothe recently partnered with Wokingham Borough Council to conduct a comprehensive training workshop aimed at Nurturing Assistants. This collaborative initiative seeks to empower and equip nurture assistants with the Project Soothe-based skills and knowledge needed to deliver impactful mental health and well-being sessions for pupils.
The workshop, held at the vibrant University of Reading, saw the enthusiastic participation of 24 nurture assistants from various primary and secondary schools in the region. The objective was to enhance their abilities to create a positive and supportive environment for the well-being of students using Project Soothe.
We are thrilled to report that the feedback from the participants has been overwhelmingly positive. The nurture assistants expressed gratitude for the valuable insights gained during the workshop, citing increased confidence and a deeper understanding of effective strategies to address mental health concerns in students.
